St. Teresa’s College of Education, an all-female institution was established on 1st November 1961 with 35 pioneer students drawn from all the then nine (9) regions of Ghana. The College was founded by His Lordship Rt. Rev Anthony Konings of blessed memory who was the Bishop of Keta Diocese. The College was initially opened as a 2 – Year Certificate ‘B’ College and was called Women’s Training College (WOTRACO). The name was changed to St. Teresa’s College in 1964 when the institution was placed under the patronage of St.

Nsawkaw College of Education is an institution of higher learning located at Nsawkaw in the Bono Region.
The college is affiliated to University of Cape Coast (UCC).

Core-Values

The Offinso College of Education was established in February 1955 by the Gold Coast District of the Methodist Church, Ghana. The College was named Offinso Traning College, established purposefully to train women catechists for the church.

The College traces its history from Mr Andrews Krakye Denteh who was a Tutor at Wesley College in Kumasi but hailed from Asamankama - Offinso. 

The Adventist Church has many development projects in the Agona community and its surrounding towns and villages. It has a renowned senior high school, Agona S.D.A. Senior High School (AGASS), which was formerly operating as a teacher training college, Agona Teachers' Training College (AGATCO), in the 1960s. The Church also has a renowned hospital, S.D.A, Hospital, Asamang. Currently, the church in Agona also has a Nursing College that runs diploma courses for nurses. In addition, the Church has junior high schools in almost all the major towns and villages in the district.
